2008 Senior Jeff Piersma voted Player of the Year for Spring Sports

Jeff Piersma has been voted the Fans' Player of the Year for the spring sports season after receiving 53% of the vote.
Jeff was a standout catcher defensively this year in the 3A West Valley League where Piersma caught every pitch from every game during Horizon Christian’s 20-game season. This is important because Jeff went the entire season without allowing a run on an error at the plate as the catcher for a very young team.
Jeff also finished the year with a .346 batting average, driving in 18 runs with five doubles, a triple and a home run to earn himself an Honorable Mention vote by the league coaches.
Piersma will play college baseball for George Fox next season.
