National Honor Society at Horizon
Horizon Christian High School invites all sophomore, junior, and senior students who have a 3.5 GPA to indicate their interest in being considered for membership by signing the interest sheet at the school’s reception center. Upon signing this sheet, students have indicated that they are willing to abide by the National Honor Society’s rules and regulations for the following obligations:
1. Submitting a student information form listing school/church leadership positions, community service activities, as well as sport and club associations. A short essay (250 words) addressing how the student would contribute to the growth and success of the National Honor Society at Horizon Christian High School may also be required.
2. Maintaining a 3.5 GPA and serving as a model of leadership and service.
3. Attending required bi-monthly meetings.
4. Participating in 2 service projects (e.g. food banks)
5. Engaging in several individual service projects throughout the school year (e.g. tutoring)
