Horizon Christian High School is open to students, nineth through twelvth grade. HCHS admits students regardless of race, color, nationality, or ethnic origin. HCHS does, however, reserve the right to administer its school policies and programs in accordance with its mission to teach and model evangelical Biblical beliefs, ethics, and standards. Enrollment in HCHS is dependent upon available space, the academic level of the student, the recommendation of others, and the student and parent's willingness to cooperate and support the school purpose statement and its policies and procedural guidelines. Prior discipline problems, and/or suspensions or expulsions from another school, may disqualify a student from being accepted at HCHS. Any information revealed after acceptance that is determined by the school administration to be grounds for nonacceptance, will result in the disenrollment of the student from HCHS.
Prior to a student's official enrollment at Horizon Christian High School, an evaluation must take place for the purpose of determining proper grade level, class placement, and/or whether HCHS is able to provide the type of environment or educational experience needed for the potential enrollee. The assessment process includes an interview and testing in reading and math as well as other areas. If the student is a candidate for high school, we may require letters of reference, grade reports, and an agreement from the child and parents to abide by the schools policies, procedures, and code of conduct. Our enrollment process is as follows:
